Maybe, but when I was that age I had enough sense not to give my email address to everyone but like I said if she has too many problems then all she has to do is get a new one and delete her old account.

Earlier in this thread you thought it was Ok, cos you could block and delete, now you are agreeing with the rest of us.
and yes if I was her mother, then I would be putting restrictions on internet use by a 14/15 year old daughter.
I do know someone who came very unstuck with just this type of thing, the girl was 14, secretly chatting into the early hours, arranged to meet the "boy" who turned out to be a man grooming her.
I cannot stress enough the dangers of giving out email addresses willy nilly (at random in other words)

Getting a new account hasn't helped thousands of young girls that are victims of internet predators and this is just the type of behavior that leads to becoming a victim.
Personally, I find it disturbing that children are allowed to roam this vast space without parental supervision. Parents don't allow their children to wander the streets unsupervised....this is really not that much different.....there are so many dangers here for the underage, immature, and those who think they are mature enough to handle it.

SHE may not be into 'that kind of stuff' just yet kai - but I doubt whether some of the perverts who might contact her will care about this. Also I don't think a 16 year old is that well-qualified to offer advice to a 14 year old anyway.

I didn't say I was qualified to give her advice, but then again its no-one elses business either really is it? Its her choice. What I am saying is yes I do agree with you, I think its a bad idea to give out your email address to the whole world, but I know she has already got two accounts so if anything went a way she didn't want it to go, I pray that she has the common sense to not use that account again.
Also I was merely joking to Capoeira when she said "cause we don't, maybe she knows how to love 'em long time" because I thought it was funny and just said I doubt (in another way I hope) she is not into that kind of stuff just yet.
So yes I agree with you all, its not a good idea, but who are we to tell her not to? Yes we are people that care, but I'm sure, as you know, a 14 year old is very reluctant to listen to their elders. Also she has already done it, so their is no going back.
We all make mistakes but we all learn from them too. Ok this is a slightly....ok its a HUGE mistake but like i said I pray she has the common sense to do the right thing and not use the account she has posted. Thats all I can do.
