Quoting Trudy: When I give someone abroad (not especially Turkish) a present I usually go to a tourist souvenir shop here in town, buying things like small Delft Blue, wooden shoes, tulip stuff etc. because I found out a lot of people like those things. Also a CD with music in my language was appreciated. And of course food: syrup waffles, Dutch chocolate, liquorice. |
Syrup waffles.. stuffed my suitcase half full of them, kadir adores them!
But may I ask which CD you choose? As I am really not a fan of Dutch music myself, I find it hard to choose but would love to take such a gift once too.

i would say take something that is unique to your country, or represents your country, and give them as gifts.
