Hi, i have this Question regarding TO Be lesson":

there is this example:
güneş dünyadan daha büyüktür

it means (as written) : Sun is larger than earth

can you tell me where is the (dir)suffix? i feel it's the last (tur) in the word : büyük(tür), if it's correct, why it written tir and not dir?
and what's the mean of dan in the word dünya(dan)?
Thanks

i will try
dan means than in this sentence
and it is tir instead of dir because cfhkpsst take t intead of d
and i think its dir tir because it states a fact
but wait for better explanation

I agree with deli,

"A is XXXer than B" means "A, B'den(dan, ten, tan) daha XXXtir(dir, dür, dur, dır, tür, tur, tır). The suffixes in the paranthesises are changeble, if the word ends with "p,ç,t,k,f,h,s,ş" "d" becomes "t" and is written as "ten, tan" instead of "den, dan".
