Thanks so much for that link Roswitha, I want to buy some turkish rugs but I am not sure what to buy. I am not keen to go to any shop because they try it on - price wise! I was considering buying on line, but again you don't know what you are getting.

A Turkish friend of mine told me that carpets are always cheaper in the middle of east - more far away from the touristy spot. A carpet that costs 200 euro in Istanbul you can buy for about 40 euro in the east. Same quality, same standards, no child-labour (important!) but just not the extra's for the guys in 'hey-do-you-want-apple-tea-shops'. Maybe worth a trip to the (beautiful) east?
