It's not suprising that they think that and there is no need to lie.
Because after most of the prostitution operations (fuhuş operasyonu), the passage is like this:

"In the police bust to the x place, ukranian, moldovian and russion origined 20 women have been arrested and sent to hospital for disease check up.."

It's not coincidence, it's a sad fact that a lot of women of the old soviet union countries came to Turkey expecting to earn some money to send to their families or just a better life, but ofcourse because of the language problem, and because most of them don't have a longterm visa, the jobs they can do are limited to cleaning, babysittig and in the end prostitution. While some of them start it half willingly, some of them are forced to do it.

And the result is unfortunately the prejudices which are very difficult to erase.

Yes I saw that one the turkish news some months back. Some of the women they find are under 18 and one was even pregnant. They were sold to the higest bid and lived in awful conditions.
Plus I must admit that the only prostitutes I have seen (walking the streets in certain areas in Istanbul) come from the old Sovjet countries.
It's sad. I don't know why they want to keep coming to Turkey, they must know they have really slim chances.

The learning(tuition)of this post:
"You are An Islamic country, muslims, the ideal believer. USE your Faith, Love to Allah and drive away the darkness from society. Be the change that you want to see in the world(state).
Do Not Judge a Person(nation) Until You Don't Find Who She Really Is!!"
