Megles, you can easily get official information about turkish visa, personal documents and its costs from the Turkish Embassy or Turkish Consulate in your country, Lithuania. No one here can know it here.

When you enter turkey, you can pay £10 (or the equivilent in another currency) for your visa and this lasts for 3 months. It is possible to get one that lasts longer, however this needs to be done in advance before your journey. You don't need any paperwork for the 3month visa as it is easy, you just pay your money when you arrive in the country and u have your visa. If u got a 3 month visa, but wanted to stay longer, u can always travel a short journey out of Turkey (eg on a bus from Istanbul or from tourist areas to Greece) for a day, and you pay for another 3month visa when u arrive back. However, iam not sure if this is legal!
I hope this helps you on the 3 month visa it is always a good idea to contact your local turkish embassy anyway, but a 3 month visa is availble to everyone flying into turkey!

It depends on which country you're from. I never had to pay anything for a 3 month stay.

"Lithuania: Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. They can obtain one-month multiple entry visas at the Turkish border gates. Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days."

If you want to stay for longer than 90 days all you need to do is go to the police station and they will guide you through it. It's pretty easy although the queues are horrible everywhere - as far as I remember you just have to fill out a form, bring 4-5 passport photos, copies from the important pages in your passport (including giriş-çıkış stamps) and then you have to pay a fee at a different place (I'm sorry I don't know what it's called in english but they will tell you at the police station) and give the recipt to the police. The last thing you need to do is exchange some money into YTL, and you have to do it at an exchange office because that's the only place they can give you a recipt for the exchange. I really don't know what the point of this is, but nonetheless you need it.
