How ´bout "Gesi bağları" by "Selda Bağcan"? Now I would call it "awesome Turkish music", really!

Ben de özledim - Ogün Sanlısoy

The song was an Arabesque orginally (by FerdiTayfıur) and has been covered by a hard rock artist. Arabesque + Hard Rock? Yes, and I like the outcome.

I only recently discovered this singer  Kazim Koyuncu

He passed away in 2005, may he rest in peace. His songs have a gentle sweetness and nostalgic feeling.

I still remember how I first heard his music. We were driving to Istanbul and they played his "Didou Nana" (means grand mother and written and sung for his grand mother) song on the radio, which is a great song indeed.

I first heard songs from Tual last year. I like many of them, but my favorite is probably "Kabus"

But today I have too many favorites to recommend. But here are some that I like these days.

Murat Dalkılıç- Merhaba, Merhaba

Arka Bahçe-"Sermin ve ben Büyükadadayız" (kind of old from 2005, but still just like it for some reason)

Kırıç-Istanbul Saklasın Bizi

I haven´t listened to "Kabus" so far. I ran into Tual´s music in my brother´s mp3 collection. "Tiryaki" is my favourite for sure.

Gürkan, Beddua

(If you need a translation, listen to Dolly Parton´s "I Hope You´re Never Happy". It carries almost the same message but packaged in a completely different way.)
