There are a couple of computer translators for Turkish to English and vice versa. I didn't try babylon.
But I tried Cevirmen and the other one that I forgot the name.
Both of them are Turkish softwares.
Also, there was a language system software covering direct translation in 25 or more languages. Far eastern made.
I don't remember the name.
There should be some more.
Googling gives many results.
I would not suggest any of them though.
I tried Babelfish and google translation for some other languages on some websites, including French, Korean, Arabic, Italian to English.
But neither Altavista/Babelfish nor Google supports Turkish translation.
Languages without suffixes in their grammar are easier to translate into english. As Many European languages.
Korean have suffixes but, because they are simple suffixes that added to words, it is easier and more understandable in case of machine translation.
But in case of Turkish, a language which has changes in the words when you add suffixes, it is hard for a translator to get the meaning of the word. It needs to deal with every word then gather the meaning.

Don't try to understand the sentence.
It is there to show how complicated a Turkish word becomes with a lot of suffixes.
There is also change in letters that you cannot find in dictionaries.
Git-mek. verb form
Git-ti. past tense
gid-iyor. p.cont. tense (t changed to d)
gid-ecek. f.tense
gid-eceğim. t change to d in the verb, and k changed to ğ in suffix.
And also there is the problem of double or more meaning words. It is hard for a software to pick up the right one.
Ateşin var. --> can be translated as You have fire. ???
Yüksek Ateş. --> High fire. ???
Ateşin çıkmış. --> You fire is out. ???
Those are not correct translations.
I don't want to say that they are of no use.
Those softwares are good to translate simple sentences.
Okula gidiyorum. -> I am going to school.
Seni seviyorum. -> I love you.
But if you are trying to translate a long paraghraph, or even a little longer sentence with machine translation software, you would not get a good result.
Which could cause you to misunderstand the meaning in the sentence.
My advise is to use dictionaries and try to get the meaning from the sentence using your brains.
Language learning gives a lot of headaches. I know it.
I had it while studying English.
It was more when I studied Korean in short term.
If you cannot get anything from the sentence, ask us,
that's why there is this forum and there are people wishing to help you.
Keep up with studying and don't be lazy to make/use machines do your work.
