Has anybody seen the "Tough Guise" video, made by Jackson Katz?
It's an amazing resource addressing the crisis of masculinity in the contemporary world (which is now regarded as a public health issue). Katz makes a very intelligent discussion and thoughtfully answers many questions, like the one whether biology is responsible for aggressive, irresponsible male behavior. Amazing video and shows that men are becoming more and more concerned about the messages that the culture is sending to young and adult men about what it means to be masculine and how unhealthy and destructive these messages are. Historically it was only women who were voicing their anger and concern with how the public media is setting destructive standards for women, and it was left unexamined what it also does to men. This is a very serious issue.
