Mr. X67, you made me wanting go back right now! Seeing the beautiful sights of Erzurum (Çifte Menare), Doğubeyazit (Ishak Paşa Saray), Van (Van Gölü), Mardin (Deyrul Zafaran) and Urfa (Abrahams cave) brings back great memories. But I have to wait another 3 months before going there . And anyone who hasn't been to East of Southeast Anatolia: Go! It's stunning!

Thank you MrX67

I have really enjoyed all your links today. This was too was wonderful.

I am really curious about the narrator's accent in this film (sorry it's an obsession of mine!). I have never heard an accent like it It first appears part-Turkish/part American but there is also English there too and something else..... strange!

Anyway, wonderful - it has made me want to visit this part of Turkey too

I have travelled in eastern Anatolia a couple of times but I have never really seen much of the cities apart from (Diyarbakır, Bitlis, Tatvan), Van and Hakkari where I have stayed a couple of months

I think many people would love to know the "real" Turkey away from the Tourist areas. Unfortunately, unless you have Trudy's daring, it can be difficult to arrange yourself and a daunting task unless your Turkish is fluent. I would love to see the East someday

you right aenigma, language is really big barrier sometime, but no worries Anatolian people would talk with you with the most common language of world ''friendship'' without any words,so its worth to dare
