Fatura vs Hasap

Are fatura and hesap interchangable???

I have only heard hesap used - but in my Vocabulary Test the word fatura is included and nobody has questioned it......

hesap = counting. reckoning. calculation. computation. arithmetic. calculus. account. bill. count. estimate. score. settling. sum. sums.
fatura = bill. invoice. receipt. tab. rabbet.

as you can see sometimes you can use it. You can use it for invoice or bill (fatura and hesap)

But would you ask for "fatura" in a lokanta???

No you should use hesap in lokanta.

But when you get your car repaired you would use "fatura" would you? Is it only a lokanta/mayhane that you would use "hesap"?

Yes its right.As you said if you eat or drink something in some place you should say hesap.But in service stations,shopping places,hotels,travel agencies etc. you should use fatura(Which places that give you a service)
