Of I miss attending these =) I don't know if it's like these all over Turkey but in the south east (where this is from ) it's usually 2 days of actual partying. The first day the bride and groom have seperate parties with their families and friends and the second day the bride is brought to the grooms home where they have an even bigger party than the previous day. Other events related to a marriage is the night of the henna where a few people from the grooms home visit the brides home to paint her with henna. A few days after the actual party presents are brought to the newlyweds and many women bring presents to the grooms family members (typically many small things that they have made themselves).
