marriage legal questions...help!!

Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone who has some knowledge on the topic could tell me about how i would go about getting the necessary paper work etc so that i can marry my fiance next month in ankara.I am english...(he is turkish) and i am under the impression that there are certain things/papers i need to have in place (in the uk) before the marriage can take place.
I would be eternally greatful to anyone who could shed some light on it for me!

a certificate of non impediment is an obvious requirement, bank statements,evidence of a 'real' relationship,evidence of prior meeetings(photos,letters,messages etc etc)
