If you're concerned about globalization and how it affects people all over the world, you should watch Darwin's Nightmare, a documentary movie about "humans between the North and the South, about globalization, and about fish".
While watching the movie I thought a couple of times, ok, it can't get worse than this. But it did.. I wish it was just a nightmare, but it's really real and shocking and left a lasting impression on me..

Yeah, that's why we should sit back and watch things happen- after all many things, if not everything, process according to Darwin's theories. We have nothing to do, it is as if our fate.

Moving on from Darwins theory to human intevention affecting the environment, the poisonous Cane Toads were introduced into Autrialia in 1930's in an attempt to kill of the cane beetle. Ooooopps!!!! It failed to work, cane beetles still exist and now the cane toad has grown to monsterous proportions in numbers and size. Some cane toads are now the size of small dogs.
An extraordinary amount of money has and is still being spent by the Australian government on genetically manipulating a disease to kill toads. This is a very risky project which will have cataclismic consequences if it goes wrong and severe consequences even if it works correctly.
It is being billed as Austrialias worst environmental mistake.

yup it's a mistake alright. but cane toads are abundant in the north of australia, in the warmer climates.
they recently found one the size of a small dog. it was a male cane toad. females are supposed to be the bigger of the species. if they found a male one the size of a dog, imagine how big the evolved females would be!!!
up north, to help get rid of them, there's stories that the locals play "cane told golf"...i think you can guess what happens there
check this baby out...

Not quite like your "French frogs" Actually they are poisonous so I think a cricket bat would be preferential!!
