sevda çekmek- to be passionately in love, to suffer the pangs of passionate love
[-a] sevdayı sarmak - to fall passionately in love with
[a] sevdalanmak- to fall passionately in love with
sevdalı- person who is passionately in love
sevdiceğim- my darling, my beloved

Aşk bir sudur, iç iç kudur.
Love is a water, you'll get crazier as you drink more.
Aşk bir vişne, ye ye kişne.
Love is a cherry, that makes you happy.
or Love is a cherry, you'll sing/say more as you eat more

aşkta ve savaşta her şey mubahtır
It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all
Hiç sevmemiş olmaktansa, sevip de kaybetmiş olmak yeğdir
Love is blind
Aşkın gözü kördür
Love me love my dog
gülünü seven dikenine katlanır
These are not all exact translations. They more like English phrases accompanied by their Turkish equivalents I found in an idiom dictionary ... especially the last one
