Quoting Quasimodo: I am really sad, for you took my post that way. Such a picture would be one of the last things to be laughed at. Please be sure that I am always aware very well of what I post. The fact that my first two posts were funny, might have given you the impression that my subsequent posts would be funny as well. But this is the case totaly related to you, not to my post itself. In fact I put "random" into the title, instead of "funny". Otherwise I would have written "funny things from my stumble upon bookmarks". So, I think it is your above post that needs modified. |
Yes I expected the thread to follow the tones of light heartedness. And why not, there are enough troubles in the world.
I am entitled to my opinion and to voice that opinion and I cannot for the life me see what you can gain by posting picture like this (and now pictures these).
I (and several others it seems) came to this site to learn about Turkey, Turkish culture and the Turkish language hopefully from Turkish people, but unfortunately this seems to have become lost in a myriad of senseless threads (just like this one), threads for the sake of posting something. It bores me.

quasi, your 'tank' photo was inspirational and while this photo speaks to the same idea of putting yourself up to stand up for your beliefs, this one is just disturbing. i am sure you know this which can only lead me to believe you did this just to get a reaction....which it seems, is the point of many of your posts.

libralady, of course you are right that most people are here to learn all about Turkey but there are many entertaining or enlightening topics which have nothing to do with Turkey...many of which you have been involved in.

Should I use here my right to reply? Normally I should, but this time I won't.
libralady - I can send you my reply via e-mail if you like.
girleegirl - I can send to you, too, if you like and if you give me your e-mail address.
But please be advised that you two are this time forgiven!

I also find your photo and this thread pointless and disturbing. There seems the be a fine line involving taste which has been crossed and clearly violated here.

I dont disagree with what you are saying!! And I agree there are plenty of very interesting and some fun non-Turkish threads. But by adding the photo's just for effect, or to provoke some remarks and then not like the reaction, and please tell me, who really has those sort's of photo's book marked???? I don't think any needs to be reminded about those brave individuals who have given their lives for a cause.
Yep, plenty of times I have contributed to the senseless threads as well. So I will shut up now :-S
