How about this?

"Can*'ın ölümünden büyük(or derin) üzüntü duydum. Kendisine Allah'tan rahmet, siz ailesine (or yakınlarına) başsağlığı dilerim."

*'Can' is a fictional name there. But if only you could write the proper name. Because the suffix 'ın' in "Can-ın" might change according to the proper name.
