Hey everyone. I've been trying to translate this line, I've looked up the words in the dictionary and it doesn't make sense, I think it means something else. Can anyone enlighten me heh

"Felek su kattı aşıma"

Thanks.

"Felek su kattı aşıma"
This is related to the idiom:

"Pişmiş aşa su katılmaz."
"You don't add water to a cooked meal"

"Felek su kattı aşıma"
literally means: "Destiny has put water to my meal."
Desting is spoiling something (probably a love story).

Another one with felek which is unrelated with the above:
Feleğin tekerine çomak sokarım.
"I will throw in a stick to destinies (rolling) wheel."

If you are experienced in making a soup, you will know it is not a good idea to add cold water, after the pot starts to boil. It delays cooking and does not favorably improve the taste of your soup.

Having this bit of invaluable gourme secret...have another look at "felek su kattı aşıma", which means " fate added water to my food".

The implication here is "fate is playing against me"
