pc phones-expensive, too small for real and general usage..
and no i don't think they lower the costs of communication
to me they are mainly gimmicks and gadgets to get people to spend/waste their money on..

I wouldn't bother with a PC phone, but use a headset with microphone instead. If your PC has a bluetooth connection then you can use a wireless headset. You can also get a bluetooth with USB to fit into a USB port to enable bluetooth headset. They are expensive but of very high quality. You can also use them for listening to music from you PC or if you have a new fangle stereo system with bluetooth you can use it for that as well.
Basically, do your research before you go and buy to make sure you are getting compatible equipment.
I am a gadget sort of person, but I always check what I am buying, and I have not made any silly purchases yet.

I have a blackberry and love it. It's a wireless handheld device that provides access to email, corporate data, phone, web, and organizer features. I never leave home with out it.
