Searching on the internet for humor I found a site full of stories about Temel. Funny, but who was/is he? Can anyone tell me that please?

The purely fictional Temel comes from the Black Sea coastal region of Turkey and brings with him an endless stream of none-too-subtle, often Off color gags. No one ever accused Temel of being too smart -- he could have been the model for the film "Dumb and Dumber" -- and he (along his wife, family, and friends) is cast in obvious contrast to the more dignified Nasreddin Hoca.

To move sword,knife etc was not allowed for public order.They see Nasreddin has a big sword.they ask him;
what is this ?
Nasreddin answers this is assignment knife.İ incide mistakes with this.
They said how kind of assignmet knife is it ? Real assignment knife is very little thing.But your sword is very big.
Nasreddin says; You say true.The little knives was enough for the mistakes in the past.But now, very big mistakes are done so even this big sword is not enough for them.
