My own attempt: Üzgünüm, ara beni lütfen, tatlı şeyleri demeni duymam gerekiyor.
Can someone check this for me?

Üzgünüm, ara beni lütfen, senden benim için güzel söylemeni istiyorum / senden güzel şeyler duymak istiyorum.
In English they want to hear "sweet things", but in Turkish we want to hear "good things".

Yes, word by word translating sometimes does not give the correct meaning. I translated the sentence with the whole meaning.
