I believe he was Turkish (i read the story), there is always a warm 'hoş geldiniz' in my hearth for Father Christmas!

Hey guys,
Better support a rapid Turkish membership to EU. Saint Nicholas is getting too old to run after visas.

You are so funny, AlphaF! lol
I really got the picture of Santa applying for visa, trying to convince the EU authorities about his intentions for the trip.

To me it doesn´t matter, bod...I could send Santa an invitation and try to help him get his visa, almost no matter what his reasons are.

I think these visa-rules are oppressing and stupid!

Actually he doesn't need a visa, because he can get in his sleigh and fly over the borders. This is probably the only way 'normal' turks can get into the UK also! Either that or they have to resurrect the Ottoman days - get a flying carpet (there's a place in old Istanbul for this I'm told)
There is as much chance of a 'normal' everyday kind of Turk getting a visa as there is finding the flying carpet shop in Istanbul! Am I bitter ? you betcha!
