Question on a word..Yardim et, lutften

Hello,
I have a question on the sentence below. Yadim et, lutften.
Why is the word "almaya" ? Why is it not "kitap almak gidiiyorlar? (to buy a book)? Lutfen, bir kimse, acikla.
Is it correct to use "almak" instead of "almaya"?

Inglizce:
The beautiful girls are going to Istanbul to buy a book. They will bring it to us.

İts right to use almak too instead of almam but will change the meaning of the sentence.
And that will bring us to the difference between 'mAk' and 'mA'
'mAk' used when you want to say a common rule, for example
Lying is a wrong behavior .
Yalan söylemek yanlıö bir davranıştır
But when you want to address a certain person,in that case we use 'mA'
Your lying is not nice .
(Senin) Yalan söylemen hiç hoş değil.

almak = to buy
alma +y+a = result of buying +dative suffix (means toward or approaching)
The sentence you gave is more correct as written than if almak is used instead.
Maybe a Native Speaker can clarify the usage of almak versus alma. (Oh Ok, Thank you Canli)

the reason it is "almaya" is because the short infinitive is being used.
"almaya" is from the verb "almak" (to buy).
in this sentence,
Guzel kizlar Istanbul’a kitap almaya gidiyorlar
"gidiyorlar" (they are going) is the main verb, from "gitmek".
in a simple sentence, this would be used as:
Guzel kizlar Istanbul’a gidiyorlar = the beautful girls are going to istanbul
however, we want to say, the beautiful girls are going to istanbul TO BUY A BOOK.
so, we need to use the verb "almak" (to buy) as well.
this is where the short infinitive comes in.
"almak" needs to be in the form of the short infinitive as the verb "gidiyorlar" is already there conjugated.
to form the short infinitive, we take the verb in it's standard infinitive form "almak". we then drop the "k" to get "alma".
as the verb "gitmek" (gidiyorlar here) signifies movement, it uses the dative case (-a or -e endings).
therefore, we need to add the dative ending to our short infinitive. as the last letter in "alma" is an "a", we will be using the "-a" dative ending as per vowel harmony rules.
but before we do, we need to add the "-y-" buffer to "alma" because it ends in a vowel.
so "alma" now becomes "almaya" (alma + y + a)

Bir şey değil longinotti1, if you make search here at TC,you will find the 'mAk' 'mA' here has been discussed before in a very wide range too
