I am a fresh learner of turkish, and I want to ask a small question: Is there any rule about the tones of the turkish language.

maybe i didn't make myself understood. what i want to know is that which syllable should be accentuated when i try to pronounce a turkish word. for example, all french words, the last syllable will be accentuated.

no, i'm not. i am a native chinese speaker . i only learned some lessons about the french language, which i have almost forgotten.

it depends on the type of the word.

Qdemir's lessons in the 'Learn Turkish' section usually tell you where to put the stress for pronunciation. For example, here is his lesson on the aorist tense: aorist

Turkish is a language which sounds very monoton (monoton but in a good way ) because the syllables are usually equally accentuated. It's a problem for me who is a french learner because I do speak french like turkish without making any stress, but I think the french sounds better my way
