annengil nasıllar?

i understand he is asking about my mum i think? but what is the suffix "gil" :S

It must be about persons in plural, hence the "nasıllar"..
Haven't got a clue about that "gil" though.. it's not a relative of yours whose name is "Gil" is it?

gil conveys a family idea while it is added to the name of only one member of the family in question.

Ahmetgil, thus, refers to Ahmet, his parents and his siblings (if any).

annengil: your mother, father, and siblings (if any).

Similar to saying, "The Browns", "The Houghs", etc.

With the plural suffix "-ler", gil also makes the family nouns of animals and plants:

kedi-gil-ler: feline
bakla-gil-ler: pulse (leguminous seeds)
