can you tell me a bit about driving in Turkey?PLS.
Drivers,especially in big cities seem not to obey any traffic signs and rules.And the speed,overcoming...etc.
Are the road signs the same like in the rest of Europe?,I never paid attention to them but this year i'm thinking about going to Turkey by car

I have driven in Turkey - southern area- and I would say that most drive erratically, without due care and attention, too close to the car in front and too fast. Also they pay no attention to crossings - but if you manage to have a stretch of road more or less to yourself (and it has happened once!) driving in Turkey is bliss, because compared to UK the traffic is very light.

I drove there when I had just had my license for a few months and even though people are more aggressive and cheeky than what I was used to, it wasn't a problem. You just have to be a confident driver and pay attention to what's going on in the traffic, instead of the signs alone. if you're a nervous driver and don't like close traffic I would advice you not to drive there.
