There are, in theory, more opportunities for Muslim Women in Turkiye and in general a better position. I think it's better than many Muslim countries, except when it comes to the freedom of Hijab.

Is this only ignorance?Perhaps the fact that society is still male dominated and men think about themselves as if they were the hub of universe?

I think that in many cases submission is much more of a traditional thing than an intentional thing. I think that many don't even realize that oppression of women exists. But yes I agree that it does, and I also think it should be fought through education and information. In Turkey women can do anything but some women are simply happy to be homemakers. For those who want an education and carrer but meet resistance in their home, I'm not sure what to do..it's really hard to fight intentional opression but strengthening of women's rights would be a good start.

There are many threads here in which people discussed the situation of women in Turkey. Dig a little and there will be a lot of interesting things to read.

For example:
Turkish women
The first message here is an article about women in eastern Turkey

sure noone can't say woman rights perfect in Turkey, and most of em still having bad conditions and have been treating to em as a second class citizen on most of areas, thats really one of most sad reality and social problem of our country.and things changing fastly in our country to with the city life and more comunication.most of Anatolian women suffering for just keep their family togehter and pity we most of Turkish men trating em aswell how our fathers did to our mothers.beside em noone can't defence to unlimited woman rights as how they used as a matarial for the capitals, freedom is nice even in the limits i think,no more no less
