Could anyone explain something to me lütfen?

I spotted this on the translation boards...

bardağım var - i have a glass
bardak + ım

I thought to seperate two vowels you put Y?

Or do you use ğ to seperate two hard vowels and Y to seperate two soft vowels?

Teşekküler ederim! x

when the words that contains more than one syllable and aslo finishes with p,ç,t,k, takes a vowel then it turns into b,c,d,ğ

kitap=kitabı = kitabın
ağaç = ağacı = ağacın
takat=takadı =takadın
çiçek=çiçeği = çiçeğin
