hi all,

i was thinking of getting a turkish simcard to use in the uk so it would be cheaper for my turkish friends to call text me but i just wanted to know if it would cost me loads to call/text them from the turkish sim while in the uk and would it also cost me for them to ring me? like it cost us more than normal to call/text the uk from a uk sim while in turkey and costs us if someone from the uk calls us when in turkey aswell. if you get what i mean lol.

have seen a dual sim convertor to use in my phone aswell which would be good, is suitable for all GSM sim cards, i'm assuming turkish simcards are GSM??

i also know i'd have to register my phone at customs in the airport and in the turkcell shop in mugla but thats not a big problem as i visit mugla sometimes.

thank you aslı, after looking at it ive decided its probably not worth it. would cost me 1YTL for my friends to ring me and between 6 and 7YTL for me to ring them, a text message is also 1YTL.

think i'm better off using one of those international call number.
