Could someone please help translate these eight lines? They are written in very simple English. My GF is Turkish and she would appreaciate their beauty much more.

Fries at Benegan’s
I crack open a light bulb.
The filament is glowing hot,
still incandescent
in its dying moments.
The shards are brittle on my tongue and hot.
Down my throat
the pieces sting as they leach
the inside of my skin.
But the blood is delicious.
Released from a hundred protesting capillaries;
salty, like the fries we had at Benegan’s
while rain poured outside in seamless torrents.
