Some have two left feet! Is it normal for women to join this dance? I ask as I did at a Turkish Wedding, but it was much more lively ..............

well,thats the one of part of Turkish halay,and mostly masters of halays waves it and they called with ''halay başı''

Oooh I love halay! I wouldn't exactly say I'm an expert but I'm always eager to learn more and never pass up a chance to dance it. Was the halay başı once for like 5 mins, it was harddd, I'd share my videos but I think someone will kill me for it

hmmm very nice. thank you for the youtube link. great video! ...and this dance came before the irish stepdancing? and the music is similar as well?
if so...then maybe my irish decendents are from decendents originally from turkey?
(I'll find a deep connection somehow) hehe
