Sentence check please?

(I posted this in the Translation forum by mistake earlier, that's why I post it a second time now.)
I read this TR sentence:
"Başladığımı bitirmeye korkuyorum"
for
"I am afraid to complete what I started."
Shouldn't it be "bitirmekten" instead of "bitirmeye"? I thought that the objects of the verb "korkmak" always takes the /-den/ case.
And if not, why?

if that sentence would be like that,i think it must be like you say..."başladığımı bitirmekten korkuyorum...
but if you say it like,
"I am afraid to complete what I started."
Başladığımı bitirmeye korkuyorum...
turkish is sometimes so strange that you can not tell the exact reason of something... :S
