Congratulation for the great service that is given on this site to those who want to learn the turkish language!
I found just a little problem on one page. In the part of grammar called "States of a nouns" there is a use of the word "subject" which I find not correct and actually misleading for the understanding of the rule which is explained about the use of the -i form. The text says:
"An important thing to note here is the use of the -i form. It is used to denote the subject of an action, and adds the meaning of "being known, specified" just as the meaning given by "the". This will be more clear after looking at the sentences below. (bir --> one, kedi --> cat, gördüm --> I saw)"
It is obvious from a gramatical point of wiew that "cat" is not the subject of the sentence, but rather the object.
I would suggest therefore a correction, as the rest of the explanation is absolutely clear.

Actually I read that sentence different. I understood it this way: It does not say that the cat itself is the subject of th SENTENCE (which, as you noticed, is not correct because it is the object), but the subject of an ACTİON  In this case 'seeing'.
Hope this makes it more clear, though I am not sure if İ saw it correct.

It must be a typo because further on in the explanation "the object of an action" is used again.
So yes, it should be "object" indeed.
The action is "to see", the object is "the cat".
