Does the name of this charming city mean something in general usage? I have a little phrase that I can't quite understand. Bursalı mısın kadifeli gelin çaydan mı geçtin.
I think kadifeli means velvet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You would like to know what the name of the city, Bursa means. It does not mean anything in our language, but I made a little research and found where it comes from.

The name Bursa, comes from Prusias,the king of Bithynia, who built this city in 188 before Christ. The Bityns who immigrated to this region in the 7th century before Christ gave the name Bithynia to this region. As time passed, the name of this city which was Prusias became Prusa, and later Bursa.
