after we have both got married, my brother will say yenge to u my love. did u understand that mssg?

yenge= a word that u will hear in TR alot... its what someone would call someones wife.. it shows respect and also puts a sexual barrier between u and the guy saying it hehe
here is the exact definition from the dic.:
1. uncle´s wife, affinal aunt.
2. sister-in-law, brother´s wife.
3. used when referring informally to one´s own wife or to a friend´s wife: Yenge hanım nasıl? How´s your wife? Maalesef yengen gelemedi. Unfortunately my wife couldn´t come.
4. woman who helps and attends a bride.

So how long did it take you to get this far ? I seem to have stagnated - but then I am not practising enough so it is my fault. Never seems to be enough time! Or I am just being lazy.

well actually.. im really not sure... there has been points where i have been so determined to learn TR that i was studying everyday.. i would do anything in my power to learn new things.. maybe u have read in the other thread, i even stuck post it notes all around the house with words and their meanings on it to learn them.. u know what? it actually worked hehe and then i would find all the translations of my fav TR songs and study the TR and EN version and if there was a part i didnt understand i would look into it until i did.. and then there was all the convos on msn.. and i had no other choice but to learn TR if i wanted to speak with a certain person.. i didnt wanna make myself look like a fool also, so that encouraged me! hehe and then i went to TR in the summer for 2 months and also for 2weeks in april and thats really helped me too..
i have done all that in just over a year and now have an ok level of TR.. and now thats sth. else which annoys me, becoz now that i can communicate and say mostly what i want to iv become rather lazy and dont really study.. so, i think it may start to take longer... unless i move to TR soon but even when im there i know that i must study, like u say.. we cant be lazy.. coz that will get us nowhere demi
