Hi!

I'm asked to have an Iranian dinner with the family of my Iranian friend. It is to celebrate the dutch new year, but with Iranian dinner because me and my friends were curious My friend (her name is Iren) invited us to her place.

Does anyone know if in Iran it is common to bring a little present for the people you are invited by? Like flowers, chocolate.. i don't know?

What do you do in Turkey when you're invited for dinner? Do you bring somethign with you?

Thanks in advance

In Turkey if you'are invited to a family house, it's nice to bring something with you like flowers, chocolate, a desert like baklava or cake or a small present for the house. And you will see a rich dinner table. even if you feel that you're forced to eat the food with the insists, it's not good to refuse the food. and don't forget to take off your shoes.

But I don't know Iranian things...
