Some advice needed......
I am considering buying a satelite dish for the purpose of receiving Turkish TV. Lidl are currently selling a 57cm dish and receiver for £60. But reading some web reports it seems that a bigger dish is needed to get any channels from 'Eutelsat W1' and that for most of the UK 'Turksat' is too low in the sky for good reception.
I know nothing about satelite TV so a couple of questions.....
Will a dish this size pick up Turkish TV channels suitable for learning the language?
Once I buy a dish, is reception of the channels free or do I need to pay more?

I would advise you to buy the receiver (which i have and works ok) and get a bigger dish. From what i heard, you ll need one that is about 80 cm or more for the satellite. Also there are people who specialize in foreign tvs (they come to your house and put it on)if you know turkish people in manchester they ll help you as most people from turkey in nottingham have one. but i don't know how much it costs.
