Had anyone here married a man in turkey?
I am going to marry my fiance in October and I am not fully clear on what documents I need to bring as well, do they need to be translated into Turkish first?
I have read several sites and come up with some info but its not all clear and it is so tough to find out information.
SO if anyone has gone thru this and even better in Istanbul then I would appreciate you sharing your info with me.
Thanks in advance

I was married in Turkey in 2006. You will need to check with the local majestrate to see what they require. The town I was married in needed the following:
Birth certificate
Passport
divorce papers
Because I was married before I had to get a certificate from the US embassy saying that I was free to marry. It had to be signed by an official at the embassy. That signature had to be authenticated by the governor's office of the state in Turkey that I was getting married in. The whole process took about 2 days. If you know where you want to get married, have your fiance go to the local marriage office and ask what you need.

Perfect that along with all the other info I collected answers my questions.
Thanks so much for sharing!
