if you write the entire sentence we may help better.. but he or she wanted to write Artık or Aşık ...

Ok. the message was

It was in the context of telling them about a special experience staring out a window to a lovely song. isn't that nice?

ok Aşık must be the word i guess and a miss type there he wrote "Arşık" maybe coz of t9 fast keyboard...

as i recall that means....lover...yes?

Is this supposed to be a compliment or is it just to refer to someone who resides in rapturous love??

to tell the truth both can be possible according to the person that tells you that and how he or she sees your situation... and its related to your situation too.. i guess you should know this better than us.. huh?
