Just 5p to call certain international destinations.
As of 1st of September Vodafone have dropped their pay-as-you-go call rates to 16 countries. The countries involved are: China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Lithuania, Latvia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Thailand and Turkey. As of Saturday all pay-as-you-go customers will pay just 5 pence per minute to call Landlines in these countries, from the UK, and calls to mobiles will cost 15 pence. Some of the call costs have dropped by a massive 96% from previous PAYG rates. Usually anyone that calls abroad regularly would have a normal sim for all their UK calls and then a separate special sim like mobile world for calls abroad, to minimise costs. This move from Vodafone means that PAYG customers can still have a normal UK sim and benefit from cheap calls abroad.
