what is the biggest self denial that u did for ur parents?

I once took my bag, ready to leave everything behind me, and shouted Andre Gide's saying at my parents:

"Families, I hate you! Shut-in homes, closed doors, jealous possessions of happiness."

family..family...what if anything happens here,when i am there??!!! Dilemma!!!!!!!!!!!
