ohhh yea 
The 3 big teams (üç büyükler) are Besiktas, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, all in Istanbul.
Bjk has won the Turkish Cup for the past 2 seasons, and won the Turkish Super League in the 2002/03 season(Fenerbahce won it last season)
The Turkish Super Cup champions from last season were Fenerbahce, with bjk winning it the season before. The Turkish Super Cup is where the winners of the Turkish Cup and the Turkish Super League play one another.
At the moment Galatasaray are top of the Turkish Super League, followed by bjk, with Fenerbahce on I think 8 points?
But I think this season only Bjk and Fenerbahce are in the Champions League, and Galatasaray are in the UEFA Cup.
So yea, take what you will from that.....

Beşiktaş is a place in Istanbul but Beşiktaş JK is a football team but most say it as Beşiktaş so it depends what you were talking about but it was most likely football

yea sorry assumed you meant the football team  hope you did after I remembered that stuff But yea as the above poster said, its a place on the European side of Istanbul too.
