The best way to end that threat once and for all is with a new Iraqi government -- a government ready to live in peace with its neighbors, a government that respects the rights of its people," Clinton said.

Too bad he never accomplished this...

I agree, clinton did not accomplish anything in Iraq. But he did not start it as you stated he did. This is where what you say loses all credibility.

Additionally, its obvious that not only has nothing been accomplished in Iraq under "GW"'s presidency, it has gotten exponentially worse.

Which means you agree with this statement? Sorry Teas, but since when did USA or the "West" become World Police! Last I heard it was a job for the United Nations ONLY.

Maybe your too young to remember, so i'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

The first gulf war was from 1990-1991. George Herbert Walker Bush was America's President. (And a good President in my opionion.) During Bill Clinton's Presidency, the US enforced the no-fly zone established by Bush and Powell.
So if in your opinion it was Bill Clinton's obligation to finish something, it would have been to finish what the first Bush started. This was a popular belief in America at the time but I 100% supported President Bush and Colin Powell's decision to not overthrow the Iraqi government.

Thanks for looking that up in a text book, L. I happen to remember the gulf war and also remember Clinton ordering our troops to bomb Iraq. What did he accomplish by his attacks? Please answer this as you seem to skirt around the topic and wanting to discuss father & son. I thought this was about Mr.Bill? Are you saying Clinton's attack on Iraq were just and the outcome good? Please tell me what did he accomplish?

I agree that we needed to help the Iraqi people. I don't know if war is the answer, but I know Saddam should have been eliminated. I personally am tired of the U.S. as you call it being the "World Police". But believe me your country benefits the reaps of the U.S., policing the world more than it hurts you. When ever there is a crisis and funding needed from these countries, who is the first to aid them.

Since when have I been a patriot? I was one of the ones who demonstrated in London AGAINST the governments decision to go to Iraq, and the first to admit what a mess our country is in.

It wont help your argument to defend your thoughts by telling me "my country" assisted!!! My country did - but I DONT agree with it

I was referring to Clinton's attack on Iraq, it was his job to finish what he started. How is this an incorrect statement? Did he not bomb them? I wasn't talking about Bush and his failures. But you have been living in a hole for so long, that your mind is clouded. Bye the way, I laugh at your insults. Husband? lol

Yes, London reaped the benefits. They had their underground bombed for helping W illegaly invade Iraq without the agreement of the worldwide UN Community. A charter rule by the way that the united states placed in the original UN Charter.

Yes, that's why they were bombed. You got it, let's blame the U.S. Did you know that Blair and Bush went to each soldiers house and held a gun to their head. They were ordered either fight or were going to kill your family. The Americans and Brits had no choice, sad to say.

The Americans had no choice but to invade Iraq? Before bring down Al_Quada? Before bringing down the Taliban? Before capturing bin Ladin?

Mr. Rumsfeld, are you posing as a teenage girl in Cincinnati by chance?
