I got some sentences in one of my Turkish courses of which I don't understand what they mean:
- turistlere yolu gösteriyordum
- arkadaşlarına o yıllar hiç uğruyor muydun?
Onlar ne demek?

Quoting Chantal:
arkadaşlarına o yıllar hiç uğruyor muydun?
Onlar ne demek? |
I think the verb is "Ugramak" so the sentence means :
" These years have you ever stopped by to see your friends?"
and the first one
turistlere yolu gösteriyordum
I was showing the way to the tourists.

arkadaşlarına o yıllar hiç uğruyor muydun?
I guess it should be
'have you never stopped by to see your friends this year?'
Because of the 'hiç' right? It probably expresses some annoyance then..

The verb is not in negative, if so it should be "Ugramamak"

Hiç with positive verbs means "Ever"
Hiç with negative verbs means "At all "
E.g "Seni hiç gormedim" = I didnt see you at all
"Beni hiç gordun mu?" Did you ever see me?
selamlar!
