Yesterday was my birthday and the one person that i wanted a birthday wish from was you. It never came. I don't think you love me at all. If you did you would have remembered. I know your birthday....4 February I wouldn't forget, as you mean something to me.
I think all the plans that we have made have come to nothing, I thought that you were different. I told you before that I do not go on holiday and sleep with men for the sake of it in fact i never do!!! You did mean something to me.
No doubt I will see you again, when I come on holiday, if you are back working there.
You will always be a friend to me.
Take care

I have noticed that many Turks do not care as much about birthdays as we do.
My friends in turkey have learned to make a fuss of my birthday. if you send a turkish friend a birthday card or gift, they will be very surprised. my friends in turkey do not seem to think that birthdays are very important and don't seem to give cards or gifts to each other.
I wouldn't worry too much, maybe he just didn't realise that it was important to you.
Well that's just my experience anyway.

Me too!
I've had 2 birthday's since being with my bf and he hasn't remembered either of them in any way shape or form! I've learnt not to get upset about this as it is true that they don't celebrate birthdays as we do here. When I've sent my bf birthday greetings on his birthday he's been really surprised.
I would try not to get too upset about it and speak to your bf before writing him off as he's probably going to be really shocked and upset at your reaction.
Good luck.

Different cultures, different celebrations.. I've been married to an English man for the last 17 years, and I've learned that birthdays are very important here ( even than my husband did forget my birthday this year!!!) so if I was you I wouldn't worry too much about it..
