Has anyone ever been to this university in the BANDIRMA location? How far is it from the ferry docks? It is easy to get around? Any hotels nearby?

THANK YOU! I cannot find any info on their website about the actual town!!

Here is their website, if anyone can read Turkish and find out if they are closed during Kurban Bayrami or find out if they are near any hotels. If anyone has time...

Why don't you send them a mail through the link on this site? You can ask a translation here on the forum.

I was able to translate most of it actually, just using an online dictionary. But that is a good idea. I am most worried about a few professors not being there. I don't think it's proper to ask about their personal schedules, is it?

No, that's not a good idea, I guess. However, can't you ask for a personal appointment?

I suppose I could do that. But talking to someone who knows enough English to actually be sure the appointment is undestood, now that's another story.

dear may,
its just 100 metres away from ferry docks..very very easy to find..but do not expect a huge campus cos it is just one building in the middle of the city..it wont be too difficult to find a hotel around however for now i can not tell u a hotel name..
if u need help let me know..good luck

Does anybody on these boards speak decent Turkish and could call this place for me? I realize that's asking a lot, but I don't know what else to do. I could private message you with some names of people whose schedules I need to know and the dates. Just an IDEA. I realize we're in cyberspace here and I'm a complete stranger.

I need to know if a few professors will be at the university I am going to visit during certain times in December. Because I am spending a lot of money to visit and cannot come again. But when I called there, they don't speak very good English. I am worried I will arrive and everyone will be on holiday. So I was hoping someone could call the university for me, ask if these professors will be there, and then I will know, because I don't speak Turkish.

I'm sorry if this sounds confusing.
