I hav since read two of her books, "The Grass is singing" and "The Golden NOtebook"

I must say, two of the most boring books I have had the misfortune to pick up!

Fortunately "The Grass is Signing" is only around 200 pages but as for the "Golden Notebook"...................... This is perfect if you have a sympathy with communism and feminism........but not my type of book.

I read The Grass is Singing around 17 years ago. It's not an action thriller that's for sure but nevertheless interesting.

I am not an action thiller fan, but I do like a book to be interesting and catch your attention. I actually prefer biographies and not the Jordon, or Beckham celebrity sort either. Biographies by people who have had interesting lives or books about people (Like Sir Edmund Hilary for instance). I was drawn to read a couple of her books because she won the Nobel prize for Literature (somehow??).
