Quoting Magister:

The free forums at http://how-to-learn-any-language.com are a goldmine of information on how to effectively self-teach a language.

I actually hate this site for the idiotic way they classify languages, and allow complete morons to do so.

Just read below how the Turkish language has been described by a specific moron named Tyler Olson...

"BEAUTY (referring to the 'beauty' of the Turkish language in the words of Tyler Olson the Moron): In all honesty, it's not a very pretty language. However, in this case the context makes a big difference. For example, the same vowel sounds that make it sound somewhat unattractive in speech, lend themselves very well to song and lyrical poetry."

I wrote a lengthy letter to the Swiss-cheese brains who run this site and tried to explain that such classifications are misleading as well as idiotic. Not much came out of it. Having lived in Switzerland, and knowing perfectly well how the Swiss feel about Turks in general, I am not surprised at all that such biased & prejudiced remarks are allowed on their site. I wonder if they would allow something similar to be said about their own Swiss-German dialect. I do not understand what makes this Tyler Olson such an expert on the Turkish langauge.

However, it is quite clear that this Tyler Olson is not the only idiot who contributes to this site as other language descriptions contain similar dumbo statements.
