I am finding the lessons on the site quite useful but I would like to know if anyone has tried the Rosetta Stone system. I have tried the demo and liked it very much.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Rosetta Stone works an like mother teaching an infant. If don't have time for that. DO NOT START.

I will speak honestly. I think for TURK you don't learn to "speak" with their system. Its expensive. (I paid over 300 $usa, and after all 11 levels I could not have said "hello".

That being said, their visual/context based has some merit.
OK, you know the words boy girl brother sister, bridge, and cowboy.

I bought a book from AMAZON, "Elemetary Turkish". That was A GOOD place to start.

ALSO, The "FOREIGN SERVICES INSTITUE" dialogs are good.

GOOD LUCK
