I don't think people should surpress their opinions. But if you read this thread, not all of theses four can express their disagreement in a way that doesn't sound like a slanging match, not all of them show respect in the voicing of their disagreements. There is a huge difference between being agressive and being assertive. That is my point. And now I expect to be shot down again for daring to say this. It seems people confuse asking them to be polite with censoring them. I am not a censor, never will be, and don't want to be. I am just tired of having to listen to headbanging arguments on a forum which had some interesting issues about folk-islamic beliefs as practiced by many people in Turkey. Long live polite, respectful but still assertive free-speech.

Finally! I'm new and I've been browsing around, I'm glad someone said that, I was beginning to wonder....

If there is a topic you don't like, you don't have to participate. I just scrolled down the forums and they all seem to be related to Turkey in some way except for a few. It isn't difficult to avoid things you don't like to talk about.
